 In addition to being Board Certified in traditional foot surgery techniques- Dr. Buto performs laser surgery. He received post graduate education & training from the Sinai Hospital of Detroit Laser Surgery and Photobiology Institute, as well as the Ravenswood Hospital Medical Center and the Midwest Bio-laser Institute of Illinois.

Dr. Buto has served as a member of the Public Relations, Peer Review, Ethics, and Corporate Operations Committees of the Michigan Podiatric Medical Association. He also was appointed by Michigan's Governor to serve on the Department of Consumer & Industry Services- Health Professional Recovery Committee.

Dr. Buto is past President of the Southern Division of the Michigan Podiatric Medical Association- comprised of a group of podiatrists from Jackson, Coldwater, Battle Creek, Kalamazoo, Lansing, as well as Ypsilanti & Ann Arbor. He has also served as a specialty consultant to the Michigan Peer Review Organization.

 He is a member of the West Washtenaw Business Association, and the Ypsilanti & Ann Arbor Chamber of Commerces.
